Crosfields started the match in strong and determind mood. Passing was better than recently and the ball was spread well across the pitch in good play between Nathan Redmond and Thomas Ley in some nice little one two moves. Matthew Prescott and Cameron Henderson stood strong in defence as expected Cherrybrook made the most of every opportunity in the Crosfields area but were thwarted by the Crosfields defence and Baylie Coates the goal keeper.
A notable piece of skill was a kick from Cameron Henderson, picked up by Thomas Ley who proceeded to chip the defender in his path and collect the ball and made an excellent run but his shot was wide.
The momentum of the game changed just before half time when the Ref blew his whistle as the ball had been handled in the Crosfields box. A penalty was awarded to Cheryybrook, who took their chance and scored for what was to be the half time score line of 0 - 1.
The penalty decision seemed to have knocked the confidence of the Crosfields players for a while, but sterling efforts were put in by Nathan Redmond ,Thomas Ley and Ben Bedford as they all tried to open the Crosfields account but to no avail. Several shots from these three went wide and over the bar.
Luke Prescott and Matthew Prescott tried a couple of good runs down the wing linking and passing nicely, but as Cherrybrook picked up the ball and ran at the Crosfield goal there was a misunderstanding in defence and the ball hit the back of the Crosfields net once again.
A briiliant pass to Ben Bedford from Cameron Henderson, who put a spectacular cross into the box to Thomas Ley, who headed over the bar.
Crosfields were constantly under pressure and Cherrybrook scored a late goal to win the match 0 - 3.
