The good the bad and the Ugly is probably a little bit harsh a description for Saturday's performance but it's not that wide of the mark as Brazil lurched from the sublime to the ridiculous in a topsy turvy game that could have ended 9-9! Some fantastic play mixed with lapse of concentration kept both sets of supporters interested as Crosfields starting the game with the returning Matthew Stoker began brightly and played some good football deep in the Woolston half on a massive pitch. Woolston however broke to score the first goal as in the blink of an eye they went from defending to counter attacking within the first 5 minutes. A quick response was just the ticket as the match was levelled with a strike from Ross Allen. Game on! Woolston again took the lead which was again cancelled out by a well worked goal from Matty Stoker nipping onto a good through ball from Alex Hudspeth after good work from the impressive Joe Reed. This game was end to end and good to watch. The third Woolston goal though was hard for the coaches to watch as pressure from the lively Woolston forwards forced a couple of errors pounced upon and punished severly to take the half time score to 3-2. The 2nd half was a much tighter affair but both teams still looked dangerous on the attack. Woolston managed the cushion of a two goal advantage though for the first time in the game as a speculative looping shot took a dodgy bounce and evaded Matty in goals who had been solid all game. Crosfields, to their credit kept the pressure on and never gave in with Alex Hudspeth winning a penalty that was slotted 'Shearer like' by Callum 'Top Corner' Murphy to give hope of at least getting a point from the morning. Alas it wasn't to be but this was the best performance for a while with some very good individual displays especially from the full backs Lloyd and man of the match Ben Weaver.
