The Lions got off to a great start in the Inter League with victories against Frodsham Park and Lymm Rovers Leopards. With no subs available and a muddy pitch, the girls were always going to have to work hard. They did that and more. In the first match vs Frodsham Park, they kicked off and scored what turned out to be the only goal within five (!) seconds. Some great saves and hard work throughout the team gave the oppostion little chance to equalise and the Lions could have got three or four more goals. The second match against Lymm looked even more challenging but the girls really got stuck in and through determination and more than a little skill were 1-0 up at half time. Reduced to six players by an injury, the girls realised they would need to put in extra effort to keep ahead. However, they not only did that, they carried on running and passing the ball and scored two excellent goals to end up 3-0 winners. So, a good start to the Inter League - next matches vs Macclesfield Town and fellow Crosfields team, the Tigers on 27th February.
